Los Angeles now has green corridor links to more destinations in Asia than any other port with Guangzhou in south China being the latest port to sign a reciprocal deal with the Californian port.
Areas of collaboration include development of digital supply chain infrastructure, creation of a transpacific green shipping corridor between the two ports, and other sustainability initiatives to reduce port-related emissions and greenhouse gases.
Los Angeles has already established green shipping corridor partnerships with Singapore, Shanghai, and the Japanese ports of Nagoya, Yokohama and Tokyo.
